On March 16, 2021, the 1st Session Junior Global Forum - Each Individual Under the Pandemic Activity was held in Japan, China, the United States and other countries for the majority of young students. In this activity, the video works are made by students, and then evaluated and selected by the Organizing Committees of each country. The students whose works is elected as the winning works can participate in the forum on behalf of theirs own country and have the chance to win the honorary title and certificate of Honorary Global Outstanding Student. All participants followed the requirements of this forum activity, collected all materials as events and stories around them, personal experience and feelings, personal knowledge and understanding about the Covid-19 etc. and made videos in English. The video works must be in general broadcast format, the content must highlight the theme, the narration, soundtrack and dubbing must be qualified, and the language expression logic must be clear and accurate. According to the general requirements of the forum activity plan, the Organization Committee evaluated and selected all the video works in a just, fair and open manner, so as to ensure each nominee’s award come naturally from real.

14:00 on March 16, 2021(Tokyo), the 1st Session Junior Global Forum - Each Individual Under the Pandemic Activity was presided over by Mr. Yoichi Morita of the Affairs Bureau of the Forum’s Implementation Committee. Mr. Shimizu, the Director of the Forum’s Implementation Committee announced the opening of the forum on a global scale through the internet. First of all, the students from relevant countries showed their talent and wisdom, passion and confidence, upward and optimistic in the videos. Sticking to the topic of this forum, they used their own stories and experience under the serious Covid-19 disaster to form a meaning works, which fully expressed their confidence on defeating the virus and win the future.

Mr. Otohiko Endo, the former Senior Congressman, famous social activist, Representative Director of Asia-Pacific Education Innovation Association, Director of the Implement Committee, Junior Global Forum, gave a speech on the opening ceremony, he said: More than one year has passed since the outbreak of COVID-19 Pandemic. Our daily lives have been seriously affected all over the world. More than one billion students were affected by school closure in the world.Vaccination has already started but it's not enough. We still don't know when the COVID-19 Pandemic will be over and things will return to normal. The important thing is to learn from the things that are happening now and prepare ourselves for what might happen in the future. Countries and people must work together for global cooperation by sharing information and experiences to create new ideas and wisdom to cope with the current and new challenges in the future. We expect greatly from you young people who will shape and create a better future. Although there are many difficulties and constraints posed by the Pandemic, you can still get connected with friends from all over the world through ''online'' platforms. You can communicate and exchange opinions freely and get new ideas to find solutions. That is the reason why we tried to organize this forum today. Let's change the pinch into the chance !

After more than two hours online video display, it fully showed the talent, presence and spirit of global youth. It highlighted the international cooperation spirit in fighting with the corona virus and deepening mutual understanding. And most important, it expounded the common responsibility and mission of mankind in the face of difficulties and the future.

In the end, the forum came to a successful conclusion. Students with outstanding achievement in this forum activity will be awarded the title of Honor of Global Outstanding Students by the Implementation Committee and The Certificate of Achievement will be issued at the end of March or early April 2021 for their contributions to mankind during the epidemic period and the forum activities.
